1. Shipping Policy
At Judy’s Planted Tanks, we strive to deliver your orders efficiently and securely.
- We ship across South Africa.
- Once your order is dispatched, a tracking number will be provided to monitor the status of your delivery.
Important Notes
- Delivery times during December may be extended due to increased demand and holiday schedules.
- Please ensure that your delivery address is accurate and complete to avoid delays.
Livestock and Plant Shipping:
- Shipped Monday to Wednesday to prevent transit delays over weekends.
Other Product Shipping
- Shipped Monday to Friday.
Courier Services
- We use The Courier Guy with shipping charges set at R180, however, larger parcels will be subject to an additional fee.
Alternative Shipping Option
- Dry goods can be shipped using the locker-to-locker PUDO service for R80.
Local Collections
- Free collections available in Port Elizabeth.
Note: Aquatic animals will only be shipped via express shipping.
2. Return Policy
We accept returns for eligible items. Please follow these steps to initiate a return:
- Email us at judysplantedtanks@gmail.com to request a return.
- Once approved, your return will be actioned within 7 working days.
- A Return Notification email will be sent upon completion of the return process.
- Refunds will be processed within 1-3 business days after the return has been finalized and will be credited back to the original form of payment.
3. DOA Policy (Dead on Arrival)
At Judy’s Planted Tanks, we take great care in packaging and shipping livestock. However, in rare cases of losses during transit, our DOA Guarantee applies:
To Qualify for the DOA Guarantee:
- Notify us within 1 hour of receiving your package.
- Provide clear proof (photos or videos) of the deceased livestock.
- Ensure the livestock is still in its original packaging.
4. Livestock Policy
Our priority is to provide healthy and thriving livestock. Please note:
- No returns are accepted for livestock (plants, aquatic animals, etc.).
- We primarily sell juvenile specimens, though adult substitutions may be provided if available.
- Specific sexes for livestock cannot be guaranteed; mixed genders may be sent when available.
5. Payment Policy
To ensure smooth and secure transactions:
- Place your order on our website.
- Our team will review and confirm your order.
- Payment instructions will be sent upon confirmation.
- Payment must be made immediately after receiving instructions.
Note: Orders will not be processed until payment reflects in our account.
6. Order Cancellation Policy

- Orders cannot be cancelled once payment has been received. All sales are final.

7. Order Processing Delays Policy
At Judy’s Planted Tanks, we strive to dispatch orders promptly. However, please note:
- Some stock is stored in our Cape Town facility and may require additional time to transport to Port Elizabeth.
- Orders containing these items may experience delays of up to 3-5 business days.
