Supplement with blanched vegetables (zucchini, cucumber, spinach) and occasional protein-based foods


Breeding

Caves or hollow driftwood are required for breeding

Males guard the eggs and fry inside the cave

Fry are fully developed and free-swimming shortly after hatching

Selective breeding produces deep red coloration
